Neon OS 24.05.01 is out now :tada: .

Neon OS users can ask Neon to “check for updates”.

Highlighted Changes:

  • Updated skills and plugins
  • Removes deprecated skill installation and setup code
  • Includes core updates to support new update mechanism
  • Prepares for ovos-core 0.0.8 support

Building on the previous 24.4.8 Release, this includes the core module updates that will allow for testing stable releases via the beta release track before making them broadly available as outlined in our documentation.

This release will also be the last one using ovos-core 0.0.7, so the next alphas (and stable to follow) will include all of the great improvements currently in the ovos-core 0.0.8 alpha releases.

To be honest, the previous release in Feb (and several before that) works so poorly for me that I just used Siri and the Microsoft home app, much as I hated to. But this update seems to let the MkII understand me much better. Thanks!

It appears the download links going to 2222.us are broken. I wanted to update my MKII, but with that down I can’t get it.
