We Are Cleaning Up Spam Posts from August 3-4

Hi all,

It looks like we had some spam bot activity over the weekend (“some” as in over 1,000 posts) with what I assume are fake support numbers for various airlines and software products. Thanks to @JarbasAl for bringing this to my attention in the Matrix chats this morning.

@NeonClary and I are actively working on cleaning up the forums and implementing some new posting restrictions to get things back to normal. There may be some unscheduled downtime for updates, but I will try to put up the usual downtime notice and schedule it about a day in advance.

If we accidentally swept your valid post in with other deletions, please reply to this thread and we will try to take care of it.

@NeonDaniel , @NeonClary Thanks for keeping this venue alive. It is appreciated.
I’ve had to step away from Mycroft/OVOS for a while, but will be back eventually with hopefully some useful code for the community.
