Noob needing help

first off big hello to every one (as this is my first post)

Im following a guide on how to install a picroft using this method -

So, as you can tell from the title, I have very little experience in writing code. I don’t know Python or Java. But I am a fast learner/tinkerer and am committed to seeing this through. I am looking for any suggestions that might help me or anyone willing to put in a little time to answer a few questions when I run into problems. I figure this is the best place to start. I have a Raspberry Pi 3 b running Debian Jessie (not lite) with MagicMirror and Mycroft both installed and operating without…

but when trying to run this command in the terminal -

• sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys F3B1AA8B

im getting the following error msg -

Executing: /tmp/apt-key-gpghome.JNWRAmXDMm/gpg.1.sh --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys F3B1AA8B
gpg: failed to start the dirmngr ‘/usr/bin/dirmngr’: No such file or directory
gpg: connecting dirmngr at ‘/tmp/apt-key-gpghome.JNWRAmXDMm/S.dirmngr’ failed: No such file or directory
gpg: keyserver receive failed: No dirmngr

anyone have any ideas as to whats going on please, as i said im a total beginner with this and im a little lost any help would be grate full

sudo apt-get install dirmngr

I just wanted to check, if you are just looking to get a Picroft up and running we now have an official stable Picroft image. Download that and follow the instructions here:

Picroft - Mycroft

It’s all based on Raspbian but there are a lot of tweaks that have been made to get Mycroft running properly.

I have seen this many thanks but I’m trying to copy and existing post which you can run picroft and MagicMirror2 on the same pi

That will be awesome, let us know how it goes, especially with the CPU usage. I heard that some versions of MagicMirror used a lot more resources than others, hopefully they’ve got that under control now.
