This skill checks the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) national weather service for active weather alerts in your region.
How to install NOAA Alerts skill
WARNING Do not try to install on Mycroft Mark-1 - it will break your Mycroft installation. There is an unresolved issue with python package dependencies. Skill has been developed and tested succesfully on Picroft 19.2.13 so far.

- this skill needs the noaa-sdk package. In case the package is not automatically installed via
requirements.txt

NOAA Alerts skill connects to the NOAA weather alerts service
- To get this skill working you must go to NOAA weather alerts service and find your region/zone ID. Enter that ID in the skills configuration at home.mycroft.ai
- there is also a checkbox to activate 'automatic alerts. If checked the skill will automatically check for alerts every X minutes and speak the headline and instructions when there are alerts for extreme or severe conditions.
