Neon OS 25.08.19 is out now
Neon OS users can ask Neon to “check for updates”, or click the notification bell after powering on/restarting their Mark 2.
Highlighted Changes:
- Updated skills and plugins
- Updated core modules
- Removes deprecated modules
- Updates to media playback
Many of these changes have been in the beta release track for several months now, and things appear to be stable. This release will be among the last that retains support for mycroft
imports, as everything is transitioned to import from ovos_core
directly; this change may affect third-party skills, so developers should check logs for deprecation notices to ensure compatibility with future versions of Neon.
Thanks to all of the users on the beta track who have reported issues and provided feedback and to all of the users on the stable release track for patiently awaiting this release.
