I am a long-time advocate for the use of Free / Libre Open Source Software, Hardware and Technologies (FLOSS / FLOSH / FLOST) particularly with students of all ages. I've worked with FLOSS/H/T in schools, libraries and community centers. I started programming in 1972 and have used Linux since 1992. I was the team contact for the Washington DC Ubuntu Local Community ("LoCo") and currently serve as a Director at Large for HacDC (http://hacdc.org/) the capital's hackerspace, and the second-oldest hackerspace in the US.
