Looking for a second hand Raspberry Pi, I found one with a Google Voice kit.
Nice to try Mycroft !
In 1976 I wanted a loan from my bank to build my new house. The capital amount of this kind of loan was calculated from the saving amount and the time it took to get it. The formula was public but calculation were complicated. Fortunately I bought a new Hewlett Packard HP-25. It was a programmable calculator with 49 lines of program . Going to the bank, the clerk left his arms to the sky : I had to wait the results of the COMPUTER. Remember, in these times only big companies had computers and they had often only ONE somewhere. It was a full job to translate the questions and results were received as divine parole : it’s THE computer ! One week later, we were reading the results printed on large sheets of paper. The clerk concluded : “that’s you can borrow”. I can’t show him the HP-25 running because when you put it off, all was erased and it took a lot of time to rewrite the program. But he was embarrassed by my calculations. One week more and I finally knew that he agreed with me. It was a victory because I keep some power on what to decide for myself and who thought they had it.
Many years later I am always encouraging those who are working to keep some part of power to individuals and share their knowledge.
