I’m 59. I earned my BSEE from K-State University in Manhattan, KS in 1985. After a brief 3.5 years with Philips Lighting making fluorescent lamps, I have spent the last 32 years working for FlightSafety International - Simulation Systems Division, building and programming computer systems for flight simulators. Although I’ve written software in everything from Fortran to assembler, I am most comfortable programming in C/C++. I recently have become very interested in languages and linguistics. I earned my Associates in Spanish Language, but, unfortunately, I have much room for improvement. Hence, my interest in a TTS engine that could help me practice listening to Spanish phrases. My goal is to develop a tool that will quiz me with Spanish phrases and rate my progress.
